Returns & Refunds Policy

1. The 14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with European Union consumer protection directives and global best practices, Khurta provides a 14-day money-back guarantee. This period commences the day the consumer, or a third party indicated by the consumer (other than the carrier), acquires physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must notify Khurta of your decision to return the product via a clear, written statement (e.g., email or our official return portal) within this 14-day window.
2. Strict Conditions for Return
To mitigate business loss and ensure the hygiene and quality of our inventory, returns are only accepted if the garment is returned in its original, sellable condition. Khurta reserves the right to refuse a refund or apply a 100% diminished value charge if the item returned shows any of the following:
- Odour & Smoke Damage: Any trace of tobacco smoke, heavy perfume, cologne, body odour, or environmental smells.
- Physical Damage: Any tears, pulls, missing buttons, broken zippers, or fabric abrasions occurring after delivery.
- Biological/Cosmetic Marking: Any stains from makeup, deodorant, sweat, or tanning products.
- Laundering: Any item that has been washed, dry-cleaned, or chemically treated.
- Tag Removal: Items must have all original "Khurta" branding and security tags firmly attached.
3. Inspection and Loss Prevention
Every returned item undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection by our Quality Control team. If an item is deemed to be at a "Loss of Value" status due to customer mishandling, smoke exposure, or damage, no refund will be issued.
In cases where a return is rejected due to damage or smoke, the customer may choose to have the item shipped back to them at their own expense. If return shipping is not paid within 14 days of rejection, the item will be destroyed or donated.
4. Shipping and Financial Responsibility
- Return Shipping Costs: Unless the item is proven to be defective at the time of initial receipt, the cost of return shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer.
- International Customs/Duties: For worldwide returns, any original customs duties, taxes, or VAT paid by the customer are non-refundable by Khurta.
- Risk of Loss: The customer retains ownership and risk of the garment until it is physically received and signed for at our designated return hub. We strongly recommend tracked and insured shipping.
5. Refund Processing
Once the item is inspected and cleared for refund, the refund will be processed via the original payment method. Processing times typically range from 10–14 business days depending on your financial institution. Shipping fees paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.
